I’m excited to announce that I was awarded a Teri Rogers Filmmakers Grant for the 2024-2025 round! My project, "Pluck," was one of two selected to receive a $10,000 award to support its production expenses.

"Pluck" will follow the story of a talented athlete at the height of her career as she struggles to hide a horrifying terminal diagnosis that grotesquely begins to mutate her body into that of a chicken. This stop motion horror short will explore themes of nature vs. human control, bodily autonomy, and end of life agency. I am so excited to share our progress with you all as this production gets underway!

The Teri Rogers Film Grants, presented by ArtsKC - Regional Arts Council and the Kansas City Film Office, were created to honor the late Teri Rogers, a woman who dedicated her life to uplifting creatives in Kansas City. Learn more at ArtsKC.org.
